Mrs. Scherer is excited to be a part of the St. Johns Classical Academy Orange Park campus

beginning Fall of 2023. She began her teaching career 12 years ago at Charles E. Bennett

Elementary School teaching 4th grade, after graduating from the University of North Florida in 2011.

Prior to her teaching career, Mrs. Scherer supervised the Cash Management department at

EverHome Mortgage Company. When she had her second child in 2005, she left the mortgage

company to stay home with her three children Jayden, Kailtyn and Ethan. While at home, she

completed her education degree and began teaching when her youngest was school-aged.

Mrs. Scherer made the transition to St. Johns Classical Academy Fleming Island during its inaugural

year in 2017. During her time at St. Johns Classical Academy, she has taught various grade levels,

led each team as grade level chair, provided professional development to lower school teachers, and

has proven success using the curriculum provided by Hillsdale College. Mrs. Scherer has made a

positive impact on her students and is excited to share her knowledge and expertise of the classical

curriculum. Her goal is to instill a strong passion for classical education within the teachers at St.

Johns Classical Academy to help further children's love of learning.
